  • Ministry of Nomads is committed to the ideals of mutability and adaptation.  Our identity as a gallery and complete art system is always changing as we explore and embrace new ways to engage with art.

At Ministry of Nomads we are constantly searching for new ways to foster engagement with art.  We are continually attempting to experiment and implement new elements into our online identity and improve our digital programming.  From Virtual Spaces, to Machine Learning and AR systems, our goal is always to foster real engagement with art.  We invite you to explore and learn about our recent online innovations here.

Presented here is a selection of our current and upcoming digital projects.  Ranging from full blown technical projects such as our virtual galleries series, to new experimentations in creative programming, talks and online innovations in art sharing and experience.  Each project is accompanied with a short explanation so those who are curious about the technical side of the work can learn more.

Exploring New Possibilities in the Digital Space

This year we launched our first digital gallery, we are overjoyed with the response this new endeavour has brought us.  We are exploring new ground and are honoured to get to do so with such an open and forward thinking community.  We are also deeply thankful to Marco Walker, for his willingness and his trust - in allowing us to display his works in this novel way.  Creating a fully interactive digital space was something we wanted to do for a very long time, and it came with it's own unique set of challenges and opportunities.  We explore and expand upon some of them, as well as our future plans for digital spaces, in this blog entry.

    Image Visualization Explorer

Made with Machine Learning technology, our image visualization system learns what visual aesthetics you prefer and curates custom selections of works from our catalogue for you to enjoy.  Or if you'd rather have the system do the work on its own, the system will create its own path and guide you through a wide selection of our catalogue.  The visualization system lives on the home page of our website, where it serves as a way for guests to quickly and fluidly move through our catalogue in a way not offered by traditional browsing.

    Viewing Room

View a curated series of Walker's best selling landscape editions, presented for the first time as lightboxes.  Our viewing rooms are deeper explorations into artists and their works, providing more context and information for those who seek it out.  Our viewing rooms integrate with our virtual spaces, creating an experience which fosters real engagement with artists and their works.
